I am Devin Boutot. I am 11 years old and race Formula Karts. I have been racing since I was 5 years old. I attend Oak Ridge Middle School in Naples, Florida and despite missing some days on the road traveling to different tracks I manage to keep excellent grades as a student in advanced classes.
I now race three different classes, MiniMax, Cadet Sportsman and Yamaha Sportsman. I have a few cars. I have been a dominate force in the FKCS Series the past three years with many qualifying poles, podium finishes and track records even as one of the younger competitors. Last FKCS season I started off with 3 wins out of three races in Micro Max and after bad luck in the first two Cadet Races I took pole at Race #3 and won the final to bring me up to 3rd in the points. My hard work, great equipment, determination and lots of testing between races have paid off. My goal last year was to win both Micro Max and Cadet Championships in the FKCS series and prepare myself for upcoming Rotax Grand Nationals. I won the 2012 MicroMax Championship and the Rotax Max Challenge Series at Ocala Grand Prix series.
Since I have accomplished great achievements in my first two years in the MicroMax and Cadet classes in the FKCS Series I want to set my sights on the larger races. At this young age I am already preparing myself for bigger challenges. I will be racing the 2013 FKCS Championship Series in both MiniMax and Cadet classes, and the 2013 WKA Championship Series in both Cadet and Yamaha Sportsman classes.
We compete on Tony Kart Chassis and have AM engines for Rotax and Comet for comer. As long as I keep focused and have a little bit of luck on my side I hope to be the one to beat this year.
Unfortunately due to the bad economy we will run short of funds to make it to all events this year at the national level. We are hoping to find some sponsorship to help me with my dreams and goals of racing competitively at the National level and have a chance in the future to race professionally. My progress in this sport has been in high gear and I have climbed the ladder quickly and want to keep on this path. To do this I need to be in the seat and make it to all these events for experience and to be recognized by the people in the industry that may help with my dreams. With the help of others I hope to achieve these goals I have set for myself. Any help with sponsorship will be greatly appreciated and will go unforgotten. If a business wants to sponsor me as well I will be able to help promote your business and or products where ever I go. Keep in mind all my races will be live online to watch and follow through out the season.

8/3/2013 Devin Takes Fourth Place at Rotax US Grand Nationals
Devin finishes 4th at his first race as a MiniMax driver at Rotax US Grand Nationals in Mooresville NC GoPro Motor Complex. After qualifying 2nd out of 38 of the best Rotax MiniMax drivers in the US, Devin came home with a solid 4th. Devin said "At the end of a hard week against the best I am happy to finish fourth. I was known the entire time as one of the drivers to beat. I had posted the fastest times in most of the sessions on the track. I just needed a little more luck. I feel like I could have won the race. My Dad gave me an awesome Kart the entire week and I felt confident in myself to do the job. My AM Engine was strong the entire time. I moved to this class one year early and was not expected to be one of the drivers to beat by most. After our test there a few weeks prior I knew I would be fast. We had a great testing before the Grands. I have accomplished more than I expected and look forward to preparing for the Rotax World Finals in New Orleans, LA this November."
2013 WKA Nationals Update Kershaw South Carolina
Devin came away with a few top tens and a fifth place finish in Cadet Sportsman. We are working our way to the front. Devin is starting to get the hang of it and is working hard to get to the front this year against the best in this National Series. For our first time racing with these guys and tracks ware are on our way to getting there and now starting to be seen as a threat.
